St. Peter

Letters from our past clients and chaplains

Over the years, we have received hundreds of gratuitous notes and letters from our clients and chaplains who have enjoyed our tours. These notes speak best about what you might expect on a Quo Vadis Pilgrimage tour.

Dear Dewey,

Easter greetings from St. Louis. The trip to Rome was wonderful, but I am happy to be home again.

Thank you for arranging to have my purse returned to me. It arrived intact last week. Pat sent it UPS from Boston, which I certainly appreciate. I have been in touch with her.

The envelope enclosed was the one I wrote while in Rome. I have chosen not to open it. I am also enclosing the Euros which were in my purse. I trust you can use them on a future trip.

Your guidance throughout the trip was excellent, Dewey. I especially admired the way in which you addressed those disgruntled persons who erupted now and then with their own individual problems. You never ignored them, but always followed through to give them a hearing. This was certainly good business.

May God continue to bless you in all of your endeavors.

Sincerely
Helen McGowen

Dear Dewey,
Although I’m still struggling with jet lag and a bad cold – two of my souvenirs from Rome – I want you to know what a great guide and companion you were throughout the trip. Your knowledge of the subject together with your unfailing good humor and sharing of yourself made each day an enjoyable experience. Eternal thanks for wonderful memories of the Eternal City.

Gratefully,
Yvonne Hayes

My Young Dewey!
It has been a pleasure travelling with you, a pleasant experience meeting you. You have a talent for making this old lady feel happy and special, I need a lot of that cause I’m a little on the quiet side. Travelling alone is at first scary but after a little while you made me feel safe and cared for. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Have a happy blessed life.

With love,

Josephine ( Jo )Grecker

Dear Dewey,
I want to thank you for all the logistical support you gave me during the (almost) three weeks of our European travels : helping me with my suitcases at the airport, esp. during the last lap at the Chicago airport when security inspectors almost caused me to miss my flight, etc. – Perhaps we can be together on another pilgrimage somewhere, sometime, in the future. God bless! And keep up the good spirit!

Fr. Rene

Sharron
Just a short note to tell you how much I enjoyed the trip to Florence and Rome. It was the most wonderful thing that I have ever experienced. The best that I can say is “it was awesome’. Dewey proved to be very knowledgeable and what he didn’t ad lib he had notes that he read. Being so familiar with the area he was able to show us things and explain what we were looking at.

He showed s how to get close to Pope Benedict XVI when we had the audience with him and how to get pictures of him with us in the background when he toured the plaza in his Popemobile. Getting within 4 ft. of the Pope was so awe inspriring. Going to Mass twice in St. Peter’s Basilica was also something to be remembered.

We had a great group of people in our tour group. We got along wonderfully well with all of them and hope to keep in touch with them if we just had a roster of their names and addresses but I guess this would be considered an invasion of their privacy.

All in all the trip was totally and unequivocably “GREAT”.

Hope to travel again with [you] in the future.

Dear Sharon,
I spoke to you today about the trip to Ireland.

Enclosed are our checks for 1907 each.

We prefer the May 13 – 22 date, as we enjoyed our last trip to Italy with “Dewey” so much.

If you can get this date for us it would be great!

Sincerely,
Mary and Norbert
